Another Interesting Quote: Judson Phillips, the head of Tea Party Nation

It took almost ten years, but Osama is dead. That is the good news.
The bad news is Obama is going to do what most politicians do, especially the liberal politicians. He is going to take credit for something that not only he had little to do with, but had we actually listened to him, the event never would have happened.
    …
What should have happened, which would not happen under the Obama regime and to be fair, the Bush administration was too politically correct to do this either, but Osama’s body should have not been immediately buried. We should have told everyone that the body was wrapped in pig fat before burial.
    Why?
It is not just the visceral insult. It is sending a message. Contrary to what the politically correct say, Osama does represent the mainstream of Islam. By defiling the body, we say that you are not getting your 72 virgins. This should be the policy we have with every Islamic terrorist we capture. If you die, we are going to deny you paradise. If we capture you, we are going to feed you nothing but pork until you talk.
Obama is taking credit for this. He did give the order. Did he really have a choice? If word leaked out that he had solid intelligence on where Bin Laden was and did not act, it would have killed any chance he had at reelection. Of course, he made his announcement right in the middle of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” show. Of course, that was just a coincidence.
All I can do is just roll my eyes and curl my lips.

New Poll: Almost Half of Americans do not like the Tea Party that much

Uh Oh, Tea Party! Your foolishness is boiling over. Almost half of Americans are not feeling y'all and it's growing everyday.
A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Wednesday indicates that 32 percent of the public has a favorable view of the two year old anti-tax movement, which also calls for less government spending and a more limited role for the federal government in our lives. The 32 percent favorable rating is down five points from December.

Forty-seven percent of people questioned say they have an unfavorable view of the tea party, up four points from December and an increase of 21 points from January 2010. That 47 percent is virtually identical to the 48 percent unfavorable ratings for both the Democratic party and the Republican party in the same poll.

"This is the first time that a CNN poll has shown the tea party's unfavorable ratings as high as those of the two major parties," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland. "It looks like the rise in the movement's unfavorable rating has come mostly among people who make less than $50,000."

The tea party movement's unfavorable rating rose 15 points since October among lower-income Americans, compared to only five points among those making more than $50,000. Roughly half of all American households have incomes under $50,000, and half make more than that.

"It's possible the drop among lower income Americans is a reaction to the tea party's push for large cuts in government programs that help lower-income Americans, although there are certainly other factors at work," adds Holland.
I'm glad that folks are seeing the Tea Party for the mess they really are.

Tea Party's Herman Cain wants President Obama to put "God" in all his Speeches

The Tea Party's Dream Presidential Candidates are... Herman Cain and Ron Paul

Who in the Hell is Herman Cain? Well, he's Black, which actually surprised me. He is also a radio host in Georgia and supposedly, very savvy.

Ron Paul also took top honors in the Tea Party Patriots straw poll beating out Moose Mess and other contenders. Here's more:
In a 'presidential straw poll' of nearly 1,600 conservative members of the Tea Party Patriots released on Sunday, 581 voted for U.S. Representative Ron Paul, a Texas Republican, to run against Obama next year

Herman Cain, a Georgia businessman and talk-radio host, came in second with 256 votes.
Palin, a favorite of the conservative movement who was Senator John McCain's running mate against Obama in 2008, trailed in a distant third place with 149 votes.

"Mr. Cain and Rep. Paul's positions resonated with Tea Party Patriots this weekend," said Mark Meckler, the Tea Party Patriots' national coordinator, of the poll taken at the group's policy summit in Phoenix over the weekend and online.
Ron has won two major conservative straw polls so far. Sarah Palin on the other hand, ain't fairing too well with the crazies. Oh well.

Interesting Quote: Sharron Angle

They argued against our charges wearing black on religious grounds. I cannot quote scripture as they did to justify their point but the gist of their argument was that black as a color was thoroughly evil, invoking the supernatural and especially the devil my take from dictionary definitions and not from scripture.

So to Sharron, Black is the color of EVIL.

Andrew Brietbart is a Frakking Asshole

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

My quick take on the NAACP/Tea Party/Shirley Sherrod drama

Okay, I'm going to try to explain this NAACP/Tea Party/Shirley Sherrod drama.

Days ago, Andrew Brietbart the Tea bagger and blogger from BigGovernment.com. posted this clip on Shirley Sherrod. He pushed this as Shirley using her government job to foster racism.

Well, Agriculture Department saw this and later asked for her to resign. NAACP also saw this and supported her resignation. Mind y'all, this happened in a matter of couple of days.

Later today, Andrew Brietbart continued to push this clip, claiming that NAACP also supported racism. He even went on CNN talking this mess.

Well, guess what? That clip was wrong. The real, full video was released. She was talking about her past and how she moved on from racism. See here:

Yes, that son of bitch Brietbart had an edited version and claimed this to be completely true. However, it was obvious it was carefully edited.

Now the media folks are taking note of this foolishness. The NAACP released this statement:

With regard to the initial media coverage of the resignation of USDA official Shirley Sherrod, we have come to the conclusion we were snookered by Fox News and Tea Party Activist Andrew Breitbart into believing she had harmed white farmers because of racial bias.

Having reviewed the full tape, spoken to Ms. Sherrod, and most importantly heard the testimony of the white farmers mentioned in this story, we now believe the organization that edited the documents did so with the intention of deceiving millions of Americans.

The fact is Ms. Sherrod did help the white farmers mentioned in her speech. They personally credit her with helping to save their family farm.

Interesting. Now everybody's scrambling to fix this mess. Hopefully, Shirley will get her job back, but it is clear to me that Andrew Brietbart is a dirty bastard.

The Tea Party Federation kicks Mark Williams OUT!

Mark Williams was one of the colorful characters in the Tea Party movement. He has said some interesting things like:
The monument would consist of a Mosque for the worship of the terrorists' monkey-god (repeat: "the terrorists' monkey-god." if you feel that fits a description of Allah then that is your own deep-seated emotional baggage not mine, talk to the terrorists who use Allah as their excuse and the Muslims who apologize for and rationalize them) and a "cultural center" to propagandize for the extermination of all things not approved by their cult.
    And...
Meet the new Miss Muslim USA Rima Fakih. In the photo above she is a participant in a stripping contest held by a Detroit T & A radio show. Last night she won the nod for Miss. USA when Miss. Oklahoma dared answer a question from a judge about illegal aliens with a response that suggested immigration law be enforced while safeguards against racial profiling are also enforced. At that point pageant political correctness went into full gear and Fakih was declared the winner.

Note to the freaks and mental cases who dominate Islam: See what you're missing when you peal off the burka there fellas? Maybe you wouldn't have to spend so much effort Michael Jacksoning the little boys in your terror camps if you took a look at the chicks for a change.

Well, recently this man had this to say about the NAACP's racism claim:

We Colored People have taken a vote and decided that we don't cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

This was the last straw, so the Tea Party folks kicked him out.

And who is this David Webb? And is he their 'showpiece' for the Tea Party?

WATCH Moose Mess talks about the Tea Party and Racism

Interesting Quote: NAACP President Benjamin Jealous

"Expel the bigots and racists in your ranks or take the responsibility for them and their actions. We will no longer allow you to hide like cowards and hide behind signs that say 'Lynch Our President' or anyone else. Sarah Palin says, 'Let's party like it's 1776.' My white daddy would say be careful what you wish for because the 18th century, Sarah, wasn't good for anybody, even folks like you. And if you want to debate civil rights, and the Civil Rights Act, Rand Paul, my message to you is this: show the backbone and answer my challenge, set a date and I and the NAACP will be there."

The Tea Party Agree on the DOMA Ruling?

    This is interesting.

Believe it or not, some of the Tea Party folks actually agree with the DOMA ruling last week. I guess since it's putting the power in the states vs the government. But the thing is, they are not cheering loudly about it.

    Washington Post reports:

The silence is by design, activists with the loosely affiliated movement said, because it is held together by an exclusive focus on fiscal matters and its avoidance of divisive social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. Privately, though, many said they back the decision because it emphasizes the legal philosophy of states' rights.

    ...

"I do think it's a state's right," said Phillip Dennis, Texas state coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots. The group does not take a position on social issues, he said, but personally, "I believe that if the people in Massachusetts want gay people to get married, then they should allow it, just as people in Utah do not support abortion. They should have the right to vote against that."

Everett Wilkinson, state director for the Florida Tea Party Patriots, agreed: "On the issue [of gay marriage] itself, we have no stance, but any time a state's rights or powers are encouraged over the federal government, it is a good thing."

That view is perhaps not surprising, considering the strong libertarian strains within the tea party movement. One of the nation's best-known libertarians, Bob Barr, has opposed the Defense of Marriage Act over his concern that it violated states' rights -- a notable about-face, considering that Barr wrote the DOMA legislation in 1996 when he was a Republican congressman from Georgia.

    ...

The large tea party-affiliated organizations, including FreedomWorks and the Tea Party Nation, declined to comment on Tauro's ruling because of their groups' fiscal focus. "That's just not something that's on our radar," said Judson Phillips, founder of the Tea Party Nation. He acknowledged, however, that some in his group -- though not a majority -- are opposed to the Defense of Marriage Act.

The situation is perhaps different in South Florida, where Wilkinson said "several hundred" of the group's supporters are gay. "Our stance might be different than someone who's in Oklahoma," he said.

Several hundred gays are tea baggers? That's news to me... kinda.
