In her family, father is Pradeep Motwani. He is a businessman and mother is Mona Motwani. Hansika studied in Podar International School. Her native tongue is Sindhi. She speaks Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, English, Hindi, Tulu and Tamil.
She acted in 1999 as child character in Hindi TV serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. After that she acted a famous Hindi serial is Shaka Laka Boom Boom in 2003. She appeared in Hum 2 Hain Na as child artist.
